Legendary NFL defender Bubba Smith passes away at age 66
By Doug Farrar

Former NFL defensive end and longtime television and movie actor Charles Aaron "Bubba" Smith was found dead in his Los Angeles home on Wednesday. Coroner's reports have not yet been released, but according to the Los Angeles Times, it is believed that Smith died of natural causes.

bummer hightower passed away i really do not remember him as a player, but he was funny in police academy

I grew up watching Johnny U and Bubba Smith. Bubba once made a local TV commercial for a group of attorneys, and years later did another one with Ray Lewis. Lewis looked like a teen-age boy next to Bubba. He was a big dude.
