Hello All and a Special Thanks to HomeTownGal for introducing me to Steeler Universe.
I have been an avid Steelers, Pirates and Penguins fan since 1969 when I can first remember following sports. Even though I grew up in Southern New Jersey my dad was from Pittsburgh and I have been a fan of only the Black and Gold. I feel fortunate to have witnessed six Super Bowl wins, two World Series titles as well as three Stanley Cups.
Growing up in Southern NJ most of my friends are Philly fans and my best friend is Billy Conlin, whose father was just inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame for his years of writing about baseball. I actually still play in an over 30 baseball league and have for the past 8 years, first in Florida and now in San Diego.
Looking forward to the start of the season and will be attending the Monday night game in San Fran in December.
I look forward to hearing from the locals there as to what is going on and will say thanks in advance for all the info.
Thanks again to HomeTownGal for introducing me to this wonderful site.

Oh and Roberto Clemente was my baseball idol.
