After 11 NFL seasons, including two in which he was selected to the Pro Bowl, former St. Louis Rams and Baltimore Ravens quarterback Marc Bulger said he is retiring.

The 34-year-old Bulger could have continued playing this season and had opportunities to do so. There was interest in him from several teams, incliding Arizona before the Cardinals traded for Kevin Kolb. But after mulling over his options, Bulger felt the best scenario was to retire.

He had some good years in St. Louis with that good passing O they used to have. 2 time pro bowler and was born in Pittsburgh.

Good luck to ya Marc!

He pretty much was a long for the ride the last couple seasons from what I've read. Didn't really have the fire in his belly. I thought if he came back, he would stay with the Ravens...but he has the talent to take a starting job with one if these teams that needs it. He just doesnt have it mentally or the desire anymore...

He really must not have it in him anymore.

After all the beatings in StLouis all I heard was he got better physically last year in Baltimore and was even ready to try to be a starter again

a shame. He was quite good when healthy

Better than getting killed like Matt Hasselback which will be seen this season if he makes it through camp.
