The Steelers have had two of the more versatile offensive weapons in the NFL over the past two decades in Kordell Stewart and Antwaan Randle El. Slash players. Guys that can be utilized in different roles and be called on to pull out the gadget plays. It’s debatable as to how much of an impact that has on winning or losing football games, but it’s certainly entertaining to watch. Hell, Stewart’s peak in popularity was during his years as “slash.”

Randle El’s success as a passer on trick plays is well documented, and we were able to see it a couple of times during the 2010 season, but he’s not the only non-quarterback that’s been called on to throw passes for the Steelers over the years with surprising levels of success. Wow El almost has a perfect QB rating.... Didn't know he has been THAT good as a passer. Thats great!!

EL!!!! :applaudit: One more reason I believe we should keep El on the roster. He's deadly with the trick play and it makes the opposing D wonder what he's going to do when he's part of the set. Keep 'em guessing I say!
