Volunteers working to prepare care packages to send to Joplin (http://www.dailyamerican.com/topic/us/missouri/jasper-county-%28missouri%29/joplin-%28jasper-missouri%29-PLGEO1001031041301658.topic), Mo., received some help Wednesday when Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison (http://www.dailyamerican.com/topic/sports/football/james-harrison-PESPT0000018611.topic) stopped in Somerset to lend a hand.

The nonprofit group Virgin Planet, with the help of kids from the Boys & Girls Club of Somerset County (http://www.dailyamerican.com/topic/us/pennsylvania/somerset-county-%28pennsylvania%29-PLGEO100101025000000.topic), collected donations and made care packages for tornado (http://www.dailyamerican.com/topic/disasters-accidents/meteorological-disasters/tornadoes/joplin-missouri-tornado-%282011%29-EVWAN00007.topic) victims in Joplin.

Harrison, who was invited by one of the volunteers, said he feels blessed in his life and enjoys opportunities to give back and was happy to come to Somerset County to help send much-needed items to Joplin..............
