The Steelers lose a key, behind-the-scenes player Friday when assistant athletic trainer Ariko Iso works her final day at the team’s South Side practice facility.
Iso is moving across the county –- and going home in one sense -- to become the head football athletic trainer at Oregon State.
“There is the potential to bring everything I learned here to my alma mater,” said Iso, who earned her undergraduate degree from Oregon State in 1993. “If this wasn’t (her) alma mater maybe the decision was easier to stay with the Steelers but I think it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”...............
