As May fades away, GrumbleFest 2011 has become the evident replacement for the typical NFL spring, traditionally a time of minicamps and rookie symposiums, of purposefully spirited OTAs and needlessly shredded ACLs.
There is grumbling about Roger Goodell and his prepackaged teleconferenced palaver, grumbling about the labor situation per se, grumbling about the difficult legislative transition that must inevitably accompany any attempt to reposition NFL football so it doesn't so much approximate a televised lab experiment in brain trauma.
Worse, there's even grumbling about Hines Ward, and all he did was out-hustle Kirstie Alley and Chelsea Kane to win the Mirror Ball trophy on "Dancing With the Stars."...........
