View Full Version : Nevada top court to take up lawsuit against Roethlisberger

All seven members of the Nevada Supreme Court will consider the change-of-venue request in the lawsuit accusing Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger of sexual assault in a Lake Tahoe hotel in 2008.

In an order handed down in Carson City this week, Chief Justice Michael L. Douglas said the full court will determine whether the case will be tried in Reno, where Mr. Roethlisberger's accuser filed suit, or in Lake Tahoe, where she says the incident occurred...........

Pretty much was ("I want to have Ben's babies! SQUEAL!!!"). Should have been thrown out over a year ago.

Their tryin to drag it out to squeeze every drop that they can out of Ben. Even if it's just via the process of defending himself weather he's found guilty or not.... We all know the old saying..."Freedom is not Free".

I'm still betting the hotel settles the case just to make it go away; only difference is now, nobody will care. Basically everyone who would think Ben's a rapist as a result of that already thinks he's a rapist, so ... big deal.

I thought it was usually done the opposite way. Since Ben has a lot more money than her, isn't usual defense strategy in lawsuits to drag something out until the plaintiff doesn't have the money to pursue it? The Lawyer might only charge if he wins, but at somepoint, he or she will have to cut bait as well.

This women is an embarrassment to women every were. I hope it goes to trial so the whole story can come out. And she is exposed. And her ambulance chaser ( I mean lawyer) loses his license.
