Here’s how things can change quickly in the fates of teams and players. The Steelers were all ready to draft Miami cornerback Brandon Harris on the second round. For whatever reason, they did not pull the lever on a trade to move ahead to get him, probably because they had a group of players rated as high and were not willing to throw away a third-round draft pick in order to get Harris.

It looked as though they were going to get Harris too, right up until the Houston Texans jumped in at No. 28, trading with the Patriots. The Texans drafted Harris and the Steelers turned to Plan B, which was big offensive tackle Marcus Gilbert of Florida........
