R.I.P. Chuck. Eternally upbeat is how the article describes him and and that would be my impression as well.

OMG I am soooo saddened to hear this. :Cry: I loved Chuck Tanner as not only an awesome Buccos coach, but as a person. :rip: Coach Tanner - you will be missed.

Those were some fun years when Chuck was managing the Pirates. And boy did they run the bases!

I wasn't a Pirates fan way back then but I remember watching the 79 Series. He was a great manager and lead a great team.

Rest in Peace Chuck and thank you. It's been a very bad week for Pittsburgh sports. I can't wait till our nightmare is over....
