Green Bay Packers OLB Erik Walden (ankle-questionable) did not participate in the Saturday morning walk-through at the team’s Omni Mandalay Hotel in Irving, Texas, according to the official pool report.

“Erik’s going to have to show us something before the game,” Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said after Saturday’s workout. “Obviously we’re going over early, 2 o’clock, so we’ll have a decision right there at the deadline.”............

Well, one of the reasons is, he is a backup that replaced Zombo. Zombo started, roughly 8 games in the middle of the season. Walden replaced him 2 of the final 3 and through the playoffs.

They are weak at ROLB anyway.

I think the reason this has not been an issue is because Walden or Zombo are pretty interchangeable. One blows as bad as the other.

It would be like us losing Essex and replacing him with Foster.
