Pittsburgh Steelers (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/team/pittsburgh-steelers/67067) linebacker James Harrison (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/player/james-harrison/114761) is not letting up in his criticism of the NFL in the days leading up to the Super Bowl.

A day after sarcastically suggesting a pillow could be used to soften blows he delivers to opponents, Harrison called the NFL's talk about wanting to protect players ''just a show.''

Harrison said before Wednesday's practice that the owners' push for an 18-game regular season and the possibility of a lockout prove the NFL is more interested in maximizing revenue than the health of its players.

''It's not about player safety,'' Harrison said. ''It's about money.''

The league and the players' union face an early March deadline for trying to negotiate a new labor agreement.

''It's no doubt to me,'' said Harrison, whose Steelers play the Green Bay Packers (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/team/green-bay-packers/67046) for the NFL championship Sunday. ''I believe they're going to lock us out.''

I can't help but like this guy, although he's going to have the refs all over them come Sunday. But at least a victory won't have that tired old "refs had a preference for the Steelers" argument that we have to hear every time. I'm glad he's speaking out because he's right, and how can a man be judged for speaking the truth?

He's pulling a Silverback version of J. Peezy and taking the focus off of Ben. Nicely done!!!

Ben's gotta come up big this sunday and finally get a MVP trophy.

And this would be different somehow? He has had the zebras all over him all year. I agree with you that I'm glad he is speaking out and wish more players would.

Are you kidding? People will say the refs handed the Steelers the game even if we win 58-0 and Green Bay has -126 yards of total offense. They've already anointed Rodgers the next Chosen One. He won 10 Super Bowls, didn't ya hear? Anything that goes against him MUST be illegal somehow.

... on the bright side, I can't ever remember a Super Bowl where people were so illogically fired up about the other team and so set up to get disappointed. Even in the 1980s when I was out here in SF and the 49ers were winning all their championships, nobody was trying to piss all over them like this and hype up whatever garbage team they faced, because let's face it, a lot of them were garbage.

This really ought to be the easiest Super Bowl we've played in the recent era; the Packers will wake up in Mexico in a bathtub full of ice with both kidneys missing, and people will be really really disappointed. They'll blame it on the refs (everyone knows they are HUGE players in the black market for kidneys) and then .. well, what the hell ever. We've got 3 trophies to Rodgers' zero, and equaled the Patriots with no asterisks. Basically, everybody can line up around the block to suck my dick until I get tired of it and put on a codpiece, and then they can suck that.

People hate the Steelers for so many reasons but back in the 70's the Cryboys were always the darlings of the media and still are. Staubach was like Brady getting all the calls favored to him. While Bradshaw was getting harrassed, suplexed, and beaten up (sound familiar).

Even SB XIV against the Rams, CBS made Vince Ferragamo look like the next greatest QB ever. (He did have a good game but did nothing after that)

Woodley is going to have a big game. I can feel it. All this attention on Harrison is just going to draw the double teams his way.

We really need Woodley to step up and get to Rodgers, he certainly has the speed.

OMG - ROFLMAO!!!!!! :applaudit:  Excellent tube!

Ooooooooo - Goodumbo is going to be really pissed and tell the refs to flag James if he even looks at Rodgers. You're going to get flagged anyway, James, so take your best shot!
