Does anyone know what number receiver Ward is, as in starting position on the team?

2 I guess. Whenever there is only 1 WR in there it is almost always Wallace.

The Steelers have an "official" depth chart....but it does not determine who is on the field. In fact, most teams dont have a true #1 reciever. The teams that do, have WR's with names like Andre Johnson...Larry Fitzgerald....Calvin Johnson....and Reggie Wayne.

What the Steelers do is designate an X and Y reciever on most plays...Wallace is usually the X and Ward is usually the Y. (The Z reciever is almost always a flanker or TE.) X recievers are generally the fast recievers and Y recievers are usually the stronger blockers.

There are some plays that would call for the only reciever on the field to be a Y (probably a run play) and some in which it is going to be the X reciever.

The #1, #2, #3 designation is usually more indicative of how often a WR is targeted....not where they play.
