View Full Version : Better SB opponent for the Steelers - Bears or Packers?

Still have to beat the Jets, but with the NFCCG on first, who are you guys rooting for?

Personally, I think the Bears & Cutler are overdue for another complete collapse caused by massive brainfarts by their offense. If they don't fold against the Packers, I see them getting hammered in the SB.

Anybody think we match up better vs. the Packers?

I'll take either team, but the Bears need to be paid back for our lost last season. We beat the Pack last year in that amazing game with Wallace scoring the first and last touchdowns.

That game, and SB XLIII, are still sitting on one of my DVRs.

Love watching both of those final drives, plus Ben broke 500 yards against the Pack.

As you said, let's worry about the Steelers winning tonight before we even get into that. The Jets are no joke and I won't overlook them.

Who would you rather face at this point..Jay Cutler or Aaron Rodgers? Thats an easy one but lets actually get to the superbowl first.

I could care less who we get for the Super Bowl. First thing first and tomorrow I'll care about the NFC team.

I want the packers, picked the steelers packers superbowl back before the 09 season and want my prediction to come true

Plus I always watch steelers/packers games with my best friend, and so far they have all been quite memorable

Relax. Fans looking ahead doesn't affect the players.

Plus, we have to root for somebody during the first game today. Are some of you actually trying to suggest that you will not be rooting based on who you would rather face if the Steelers win?

If so, I call BS.

Bears by far. As I mentioned in the NFC title game thread, the Packers scare the hell out of me. I do not want to play them in the super bowl even though I predicted a Steelers-Packers superbowl.

I'd much rather play da Bears. Cutler is hot and cold and I think we can shut down Forte. With the Pack, dealing with Rodgers and his receivers wouldn't exactly be a picnic.

I kinda agree with with ya on that. Hopefully it won't matter and the Steelers go all the way! Let's hope for the best!

Usually I don't comment on threads that I hate, but damn guy's, talk about trying to jinx us!!?!!

Let's worry about the Jets, the NFC title game is merely white noise until after we resolve our destiny!

Is Coach Cowher on this thread? "Alright guys get your Super Bowl tickets and accommodations wrapped up. We don't want any distractions." Said before the 1994 and 2001 AFCC games, both losses.

Definitely the Bears, given the way they look today.

Of course, the problem is, playing like this pretty much prohibits a trip to the Super Bowl for them.

On the other hand, the way Chicago has played, only being up 14-0 does not really paint the Packers as the greatest team either.

I hate the Bears and their obnoxious fans. I could never cheer for them.

I've always been a huge fan of Lovie Smith and Urlacher - they are the primary reason I want them to win.

No more debate. It is the Pack. Now let us do our job. Let's go Steelers.

News flash! Once we beat the Jets, it's too late to discuss.

Guess the NFCCG made it extremely clear. The Bears really do suck.

Bring on the Pack.

..... anyone know the route they'll take through Pittsburgh for the celebration parade? :D

Cowher got excited talking about LeBeau vs Capers. Only he really knows both of them that well.
