As we were being seated last night at Ruby Tuesdays, (in our Steelers gear) we walked past a guy decked out in Packers gear. We all laughed, wished each other good luck, and we all admitted a little a bit of apprehension at the Steelers and the Packers facing each other in the Superbowl. Healthy respect....good stuff!

I'm off to Pilates class and then sometime before I get ready for the game, I'm going to run about 3 miles on the treadmill to work off some nerves.

I just can't imagine our guys letting Rexy hoist that trophy over his heads in their house. No way.

Lets break it down like a classic 1980s Teen Movie...

The Jets are the new kid in school. They are kind of good looking...you know...tall, in shape, athletic...kind of a handsome new kid that makes a lot of the girls go all ga-ga for him. Of coarse though, he knows he's "hot stuff" so he talks himself up...acts all tough and as if he's the man. He starts to date a hot girl, the head cheerleader, he starts to show up at the parties and people yell out..."Hey...Jets is here! Alright!" and on and on. And he even starts to put down some of the bullies in the shop class...fights one behind the school at 4pm, wins that fight, you know...the gang leader and what not...but at the same time...he's kind of a jerk...what you don't know is he's also a heavy drinker...beats the head cheerleader...and isn't really as "golden" as he tries to act.

Meanwhile...the quiet kid...in Auto Shop...has been that head chearleaders best friend on the bus for years...he's always looked out after her, never really fit in cause he was a really big quiet kid that no one really knew...He just kind of did his thing...worked hard on cars, lifted bumpers, banged out metal, all the while living in his single parent home...just getting by day to day being a good kid. Once in a while when no one noticed he saved a Kitten from a tree, rescued a puppy from a well, brought a wounded bird back from the brink and let it go off a cliff side where it flew off into the sunrise. That kid...is now SUPER PISSED OFF at the NEW KID and unknown to anyone...He's planning on avenging the latest beating the Jets gave to the head cheerleaders...

So now...Steelers...the quiet confident kid...is waiting outside the shool...its 3:30pm...Mr Hot Jock new guy Jets is on his way out with his possie...and Steelers is waiting there...just waiting...and deep down...we all know...Jets kid is about to get his ass beaten into a bloody pulp and in the end, the Hot Cheerleader is going to totally fall for the Steelers kid...and they are gonna go make out under the bleachers to the sound of Led Zepplin....
