Trevor Pryce (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/player/trevor-pryce/69562) has an idea to help the Jets (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/team/new-york-jets/67057) prepare for brawny Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/player/ben-roethlisberger/200315). It's simple, really.

The problem is it's not exactly feasible.

"The only way you prepare for Big Ben," said Pryce, a Jets defensive lineman who faced Roethlisberger many times while a member of the Ravens, "is if we could bring him in here and let him run our scout team. Then (he would) go back to Pittsburgh and we'll play (Sunday) and we'd have a better feeling for him."

It's doubtful the Steelers (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/team/pittsburgh-steelers/67067) will agree to that, so the Jets will find another way for their defense to get ready for Sunday's AFC title game against Pittsburgh at Heinz Field..............

Yepp - Ben isn't Brady, he doesn't go down just by touching him like Marsha does.

In the playoffs and in tough games, no one is better than Ben. Period.

Hate to tell you Green Weenies, but it is almost impossible to prepare for Ben. As long as our OL does its job, he'll find a way to toast you with the pass. If he's forced out of the pocket, he'll make a play - some way, somehow. If we're down with 2 minutes left in the game, Ben will go into Eveready Bunny mode. So good luck trying to figure him out. Aren't many teams out there this season who have.

I don't think it is possible to prepare for ben. He is great at what he does and there is nobody going to know what he is going to do.

The art of the pump fake. (http://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/21/sports/football/21fake.html?_r=1&pagewanted=2)

PITTSBURGH — There are times when Hines Ward, the Pittsburgh Steelers receiver, finds himself unexpectedly uncovered while running his route. He looks around and sees nothing unusual amid the traffic of a football game, except a safety heading the other way. After 13 seasons in the N.F.L., Ward is still bewildered when it happens.

“I’m like, ‘Why is the safety going that way?’ ” Ward said. “Whatever he did, I’m open. Then I look on tape. ‘Oh, Ben pump-faked.’ ”

Gotta love the fools that complain that Ben "pump fakes too much."

yeah but the Jets are allowed to hit Ben low...or high...in the head, in the face mask and in the knees...heck I think the Ben rule allows 2 nut shots a game as well. So you can't prepare for him like you would Brady or Manning, but you don't have to "pull up" either when you play him cause they don't throw flags for late hits or illegal shots on Ben.

Can't even punch him, he may break his nose or go down but he gets back up. If you punch Brady in the nose, he curls up in a fetal position and says mommy don't hurt me i just got my hair permed.

It used to be John Elway, but his legacy has been surpassed.

Ben is a lot like Elway - not a pretty pocket passer but tops as a playmaker. Throw in the sheer toughness of the late and great McNair and you've got Big Ben.
