Steelers to face Chiefs or Ravens

By virtue of the New York Jets' victory in Indianapolis Saturday night, the Steelers will play either Baltimore or Kansas City at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Heinz Field.

The Ravens and Chiefs play today in Kansas City.

As the sixth and lowest seed in the AFC, the Jets will play next Sunday at New England, the No. 1 seed. The Steelers, the No. 2 seed, and the Patriots earned byes this weekend into the next round of the playoffs.

The Steelers have played the Ravens and Chiefs in the postseason. They are 2-0 against Baltimore, both games at Heinz Field -- in a 2001 playoff and in the 2008 AFC championship game. The AFC North rivals split their two regular-season games this season.

I'd rather see us play KC than the work release "Rats".

i want to play the ravens. i want the steelers to earn the SB.

I think the knowing the Ravens and how they play would be to the Steelers advantage. Problem with that is the rivalry will be BRUTAL! Who ever wins (Steelers) my end up coming out of the game banged up. Just makes a Super Bowl run that much harder. Then again, they did it before. lol

I kinda want a little revenge from last years game against the chiefs so I hope we play them. besides, screw the ratbirds!!!!!

Not so sure about Baltimore's defense. KC has a nice running game, but I don't know if Cassell has the goods to get the win today. I'll take KC, just because they are at home.

I like the idea of the Rats getting knocked out with one and done and then getting revenge on the Chiefs. Now if the Jets can do the same to Patsies*, we can open up a can of whoopass on them as payback, too!! Not that I'd mind some payback to the asschin, but an AFCC game at home would be sweet.

And calling the cheaters one and done....priceless.

I want the ravens more than the chiefs, but my only concern is beaten up bodies/injuries after the game heading into the AFC Championship

Earn it? Come on. Nobody remember who the Super Bowl winner beat in the playoffs....they just remember who won the hardware.

Like I said I don't mind playing the Ratbirds because I know we can and will beat them, but I worry because of how physical these two teams play against each other, we would be battered and bruised and probably have injuries and then heading to the Pats the next week would take a toll.
