View Full Version : Congrats on the AFCN Division Title

As much as I want Cleveland to clean your clocks today, I'm a realist. I really cannot see the Browns taking this game from the Steelers when it means the difference between a division title and a first-round bye, and the #5 seed and going on the road.
So, in that vein, here's a preliminary kudos to finishing atop the AFCN and having off next week while the Ravens travel to (hopefully) Arrowhead or <gulp!> The Luke.

This should be an easy victory for the Black & Gold. But I, too, am a realist. There's no such thing as an easy victory in the NFL. I'll hold off a little while longer on celebrating the win.

Thanks for your faith in us crow but like I told a buddy of mine who predicts an easy victory for us, we've choked on smaller dicks before. :heh:

I aint messin' with bad karma. I'm not going to celebrate an AFCN crown until the last second ticks off that clock in Cleveland and we have the W in our column.

Can we play the game first?
the browns beat the saints and patriots and beat us last year so the division is not anywhere close to being locked until the games are played. but thanks for believing in us i guess.

Start another thread in about 4 hours if the steelers have at least 1 more point than the browns...

Nice...12-4 Finish to the regular season and a North Division title. Good way to go into the post season. I'll take it.

Same here. I predicted 10 wins max with a shot at a wild card, and they exceeded that. Everything else from here on out is just gravy.

AFCN. Thanks, Crow. See ya in the playoffs!:drink:
The game was over 45 seconds into the first quarter after the interception and Wallace's TD.

Does anyone see a repeat of Ravens @ Steelers again ? The Ravens match up with the Pats well . Long way to go .

I may be incorrect, but I think you will see either KC or Baltimore. None of us will potentially see the Pats until the AFCC.
You guys are fans, so I can see where many of you "might" not be surprised to find the Steelers where they are today. But after starting the season for four games without your starting QB, and having many injuries on your O line and to Polomalu, I have to give credit where credit is due. The Steelers took care of business this year. But it is awesome that both Pittsburgh and Baltimore ended up at 12-4. That's an accomplishment in any division- especially this one. We both may have been 15-1 if we were in the NFCW.

You think like I do girl. I didn't get to watch the game [driving home to Alabama from Maryland after the holidays] I had to keep up with the score on my phone. Every time I signed on I worried about the score, even in the 3rd qtr. my gut was saying "REMEMBER GIRL IT AIN'T OVER 'TIL THE FAT LADY SINGS"

We are each other's toughest competition, that's the bottom line - you'll have to excuse all of us if we take kind words from a Ravens fan as a meaning of bad mojo or jinxing or a hex, it doesn't happen often - as I'm sure you are familiar with when it comes to dealing with other Steeler fans. I give you kudos for the kind words but I'm keeping an eye on you ;) I've always said our division wouldn't be any fun if it wasn't for the battle between the Steelers and the Ravens - we make this interesting together.
P.S. If you think you get it rough from Steeler fans, try being a Steeler fan born and raised in Maryland... it's no cake walk. ;)

I KNOW, RIGHT?! lol I'm surrounded by Ravens & Redskins fans. Whenever I have to drive into Baltimore (not often), I stuff my Steelers fuzzy dice and my Steelers stuff in the glove box before I park. Otherwise, my car might 'accidentally' get damaged - not taking any chances! :dizzy:
