Any idea how the weight training is going? will he make it back for the playoffs?

Even in his most recent press conferences on steelers.com, all he'll say is the same things he's been saying the past two weeks: He's lifting and coming "very close to being able to participate in football activities"

God, what a tease lol.

If we get the bye, he will have 2 weeks for our first playoff game and 3 weeks before the AFCC game. Hope Tomlin's gamble pays off big time.

Even if we get Aaron Smith back for the AFC Championship Game, he would play limited snaps, probably on obvious run plays. Just because he would be cleared medically to play doesn't mean that he would be 100% and I doubt he would be quite in football shape either.

Winning is the standard.

Seriously, I'm impressed by our run-stuffing without A.Smith. He's a great asset, but we've shown that we can do the job without him if we just have to.

This isn't Aaron's first rodeo.

They want him to be the new Woodson. We have stuffed the run since Keisel cam back , but still not up to Steeler standard.

Smith is another one of our linemen that usually has a strong push and occupies more than one offensive lineman which then gives our linebackers an even better shot at getting to the QB on pass plays. We've done well without him, but we are still stronger with him.

What a blessing that would be to get Arron back on the field for the playoffs
