Jets vs Steelers - last Sunday after 4
New York had never left Pittsburgh with the winning score
Before this game even came on my TV
The Jets had scored an opening kickoff TD
The punters worked hard for most of the first half
And what a surprise from the officiating staff
No problems in the first half - those would come later
Unfortunately at a time when the impact was greater
Steelers take the kickoff and the 3rd quarter would begin
After nearly a 6 minute drive Mendenhall is in
The Jets get their turn and pull out their bag of tricks
Sanchez takes it into the endzone for six
The score was tied at 17 until the Jets took the lead by three
Could we tie it up again? We'd have to wait and see
Moore was tackled for a safety on the next drive
We would need a touchdown now - the Jets were up by five
The Jets would go 3 and out and give the ball right back to us
This is where the refs made us really want to cuss
When someone pulls on your jersey it's much harder to catch a ball
But just like usual we didn't get the call
This game wasn't over till literally the last play
Ben tried to steal one but it just wasn't our day
Losing is never good but this one doesn't hurt a lot
Because we still clinched a playoff spot
It's a short week - the Panthers come to Heinz on Thursday night
We need a win to start our Christmas off right
