The wait is over. Cliff Lee (http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/l/leecl02.shtml?utm_source=direct&utm_medium=linker&utm_campaign=Linker) has agreed to sign with the Phillies, according to MLB.com's T.R. Sullivan (http://trsullivan.mlblogs.com/archives/2010/12/cliff_lee_is_going_to_philadel.html). The deal is worth about $100MM over five years, according to Joel Sherman of the New York Post (on Twitter (http://twitter.com/Joelsherman1/status/14545704722632704)). The contract includes an "easily reachable" vesting option for a sixth year, according to ESPN.com's Jerry Crasnick (on Twitter (http://twitter.com/jcrasnick/status/14550544295133184)).

The magic number for the Phillies to win the NL East right now is 5 . It must really suck to be a Mets fan , haha . Hopefully to see a Yankees vs Phillies World Series next year .

I'm not happy about Werth either, but Cliff Lee makes up for it.

When Roy Oswalt is probably your 4th starter, that's one hell of a rotation.

So now the Pirates sign Stan Lee? Lee Majors? Bruce Lee? Robert E Lee? Or maybe just some Cricket player with the last name Lee?

Seriously, I'm not usually all that interested in off-season Baseball moves. However, anytime the Yankees don't get their man it is time to celebrate. In fact, I have heard that every time a Steinbrenner loses an Angel gets her wings.
