Emmanuel Sanders joined Seibel and Starkey on Sportsradio 93-7 The FAN to discuss his ascent to the No. 3 receiver position on the depth chart and the chemistry he is developing with Ben Roethlisberger.

Emmanuel went from being out of the game day lineup the first few weeks of the season to playing a significant role in the offense. He explained how he was able to accomplish that and the reaction from a veteran like Antwaan Randle El who he has passed on the depth chart.

The key to becoming the third receiver in just his rookie year was getting on the same page as quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and Emmanuel explains that he has been able to do that quicker thanks to the extra hours he put in at Latrobe studying film of Hines Ward and Santonio Holmes in the Steelers offense.

Finally, Emmanuel addressed what the Steelers locker room was like before the Ravens game and how after a performance like the one Ben had in that game he has even more respect for his teams quarterback than he did before.

The FO is connecting nicely with these 3rd round receivers.

They are both looking good if we could just address our offensive line and give Ben time throw we would be very dangerous.

I was sure Sanders wouldn't have any trouble adjusting to this offense. He was my favorite college receiver last year, and the guy is a player. I'm sure ben appreciateds everything sanders has done so far, and everything he will do in the future

Brown has actually surprised me more. Not only with his speed (kid has jets) but with his actual catching. He's getting more and more involved and I love it!

Wallace, Sanders, Brown- Awesome. And sweed :chuckle:
