With punter Daniel Sepulveda out for the rest of the season, the Steelers will work out Penn State graduate Jeremy Kapinos tomorrow at Heinz Field, the Tribune-Review has learned.
Kapinos punted in one game for the Indianapolis Colts this season, averaging 44.5 yards on four kicks and putting two of them inside the 20-yard line.
A third-team All-American for Penn State in 2006, Kapinos was the Green Bay Packers’ punter last season and averaged 43.8 yards per kick.
Sepulveda tore the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee in the Steelers’ 13-10 win against the Ravens when his cleat got caught in the turf at M&T Bank Stadium.
Sepulveda got hurt while trying to make a tackle on Lardarius Webb’s 35-punt return early in the second quarter.............
