Long snapper Jared Retkofsky has been cut. Back to moving furniture, I suppose?

Little odd that we'd cut a guy now but that does mean that we're confident in how Greg Warren is progressing. Was hoping the release meant we signed a pick but I haven't heard anything yet and doesn't look like that was the case.

Maybe that James Harrison is now able to do this job!

I'm sure Jared is on call if we need him.

When Warren got hurt and Harrison had to step in as a temporary long snapper, the position didn't seem so "minor". :chuckle:

we win the superbowl every time we bring in a new long snapper.

schneck was lost in 05 and warren lost in 08.

heres to a new LS in '10.

We've have what 82 guys on the roster now. Should see a few more of these "minor" cuts before we head to Latrobe.

He'll probably go back to the UFL, where he played last year.

Guess it's back to the closet for my Retkofsky jersey. Damn.

In a way I was kind of hoping they kept Retkofsky and just let Warren go...seems to get injured an awful lot for someone who only plays a few snaps a game. Retkofsky has had to step in the last 2 years or 2 of the last 3...something like that...why not keep him around instead!?

Oh my god I hope not that was a nightmare when Harrison stepped in.

That's funny NOW. Wasn't funny at all then.
