The Steelers are reporting that P Daniel Sepulveda has a torn ACL in his right (non-kicking) knee. I don't have a source other than their Facebook page.

You've gotta be kidding me. Hello Mitch Berger!

Wasn't that the same one he tore a while back?

More bad news on the injury front.

Holy Mother of God----------NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! :jawdrop2: :horror:

I'm first in line to help to "rehab" that knee. ;) :eyebrows:

In all seriousness - this sucks big time. Looks like along with a new PK, we're going to have a new P (at least until after the Super Bowl ;)).

Seriously?? How does that even happen to a Punter?

No Mitch Berger.. ANYBODY but Mitch Berger..

Punter will need to be a holder as well for our new FG kicker who stepped up tonight. Another 40 plus FG and did very nice filling in as punter also.
Would love if he could boom kick offs like that baltimore kicker - thats a huse advantage...

You know.... Shaun was alright punting the ball. I'm really starting to like him more and more as every game goes by.

Damn awful news, we have a lot of work to do this week.

It was an innocent looking play - he was trying to get in on the tackle on the long punt return, took a step and came up lame. No contact, no hit, nothing. It's also the same knee he had surgery on 2 years ago. Horrible luck.

The way he was catching the ball was making me so nervous..

Though I will wait for the official report before I really believe it.

Same here - he was catching it with his gut instead of his hands and came kinda close to getting one blocked.

Can't blame the guy. He wasn't going to be careless in losing the ball. He did pretty well for not being a punter. He did do some punts for the Redskins last year in a game.

True, but as far as emergency special teams duty ... he did a hell of a lot better than Harrison as a long snapper.

I read this on their FB also. Not good...the simple moves that cause bad injuries. Get well Sep.

If only ben didn't have a foot injury, he could be out punter :chuckle:

sucks about sep. 3 torn acl is NOT good. Even if it is his non kicking leg....

Didn't realize this thread was already here. NFL.com quoted Tomlin as saying the injury is an ACL and that he is probably done for the year.

I say they give Jeff Feagles a call. He's not a huge boomer, but he'll give you a very consistent 40-45 yard punt and he knows how to put the ball out of bounds in the corner, which is a totally lost art these days

We just keep piling on the injuries sooner or later it is going to bite us.

I think this is his 3rd time on the same ACL, (2006, 2008, 2010) I think we would be wise to consider a permanent replacement or at least some real competition

Good suggestion and I'm sure Feagles is on their call list this morning.

This totally sucks about DSep, as I felt he was having a pretty good year thus far. Sadly, Dan may have to re-evaluate his career after this latest ACL injury heals imho.

Agreed. How does that even happen to a punter?? Unbelievable!!!
