Ugh thats a season ending injury I can't believe we have lost Colon, Starks, and now Adams for the season, poor OL. We need to sign someone because Essex is not the answer!

high ankle sprains? That should be 4-6 weeks. Hopefully if it's 4-5 we can hang on for the playoffs for him (I think at this point, we are more than likely getting a 1st round bye)

Gawd, I hope you're right. He's no young spring chicken anymore so that high ankle sprain may take a little longer to heal.

Well, at least it won't (shouldn't) knock him out of the season

high ankle sprains are so tricky though. Can be healed in 2 weeks, sometimes two months....

So which fine young prospect do we lose while signing a scrub lineman and trying to keep Hotel active??

I wonder how Foster would be at tackle which is his original position? Then again, that would mean Essex at right guard. Heeeeeell no!

tony hills

it's gotta be him this time. That is if they do replace him. Hills and chris scott were inactive today so they probably won't sign anyone

Hope scott is active though. I've seen enough from hills

Rub it in some dirt, take a shot, and tape it up real good!!!

Hotel has played admirably in place of Colon this season and it is going to suck having him out of the lineup on a line that is already taped together.

Get that ankle rehabbed fast and in a hurry Flo - we need ya brother!

Essex looked OK in pass protection after Adams left. The patchwork line has only lost 3 games. I'm more worried about the punter/holder. And given a choice between those two, I want a holder. Them's points at risk, not field position, after all. We won the Super Bowl with Berger. If he can hold, I'll take him.

Flozell seems like a really tough guy. He's been playing through ankle injuries all year long. It may have been as much as an aggravation than a new injury. It's remarkable, in the worst way possible, the number of times he's been rolled up into. This has to be at least the 4th time. I wonder if it's because he's so tall.

I do expect him out at least one week (Glad Cincy doesn't have a pass rush) but I don't think this is a season-ender.

I don't agree at all. The Steelers have had one of the worst O'lines in the league for several years and they continue to win. They will be fine.

One thing is for sure, the Steelers need that bye week more than anyone in the AFC.
