This is a "Scandal" of the leaked memos and cables from the State Department.

MEXICO CITY — Seeking a frank evaluation of Argentina's president, the office of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton asked the U.S. Embassy in Buenos Aires late last year to delve into her psyche.
"How is Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner managing her nerves and anxiety?"

And Slate thinks she should resign over that?

Sorry, but this is where our country is so screwed up.

1. She is Sec. State. That means she is responsible for understanding the leaders and govts. of other nations.

2. She is Sec. State of the UNITED STATES. Which means OUR country is the ONLY one that she, and we, should be worried about.

3. Diplomats ARE "spies". Chief of Station=top spy post in the country. THAT, is a diplomatically protected position.

4. She was asking people in-country to find out information about a foreign head of state for the reason of better understanding and divining the future/and our relations with the future.

IMO, the conclusion, is that Sec. State Clinton was doing EXACTLY her job in EXACTLY the way she was supposed to do it. She should be PRAISED instead of the dragged through the mud.

(and yes, I just threw up a little bit in my mouth giving her praise :chuckle:)

Oh wait.. one other question...

When will we spend the time and money finding out who leaked the information? When it is sensitive govt. info, it isn't "Whistle-blowing", its called breaking the law by violating clearances. This person should be hunted down, charged, arrested, and thrown in prison for exposing this.

I thought you meant Bill in the 1990s.

I wonder if he 'probed' Cristina? :rimshot:
