Why? nobody seems to have a problem with people praising god when things go right but someone blames him when things go wrong and everyone says how terrible it is.

Has nothing to do with God (or, god, if you prefer). It has to do with EVERY jackass that says something stupid on Twitter. I don't have time right now, but there are countless examples of players Tweeting something that directly embarrasses either themselves or their organization. Just STFU and do your job. If you had a bad day, work harder for the next game...

Its just a tweet...I was just pointing out the fact that if he caught it and then tweeted thanking god for the catch nobody would be saying anything.

Hopefully his family will keep an eye on him so he won't do anything stupid... He's definitely taking it too seriously if it has shaken his faith. He may need some counseling to deal with it ...

Hey Stevie, I believe the phrase is, "Praise You in this storm" YOu dropped the ball, and as has been stated God had nothing to do with that drop. But He did have a lot to do with the talent you possess to play the game. Don't mess up by blaming Him for one play. Be a man about it. Praise God win or lose, not just win!

Thank God you get paid what you get for playing a kid's game. Thank God that you can get up out of bed every day and play a game in a country that is still free because God gave certain men and women the desire to protect your right to do so.

Don't know what God he talks to, but you don't need to twitter mine. He wrote this to make excuses. He was telling the fans, hey, it's not my fault. Don't know about faithless, but he appears to be gutless.

I'm a little baffled...

First we hear about this Tweet from Johnson...

Then we see the post-game interview where he clearly takes ownership of dropping the pass that would have won the game for the Bills. He seems to be very humbled by the fact that he blew it. He takes full responsibility and doesn't blame anyone else (as he seems to be blaming God in the Tweet). I actually gained a large amount of respect for the guy...and I almost feel bad for the guy. Almost. :tt02:

If I was Mike Tomlin, my Monday morning speech would start like this,
You All realize we LOST that game, don't you? Because we did. We just happened to have a little luck on our side for a brief instant. But we can't rely on Luck to win the game for us. Ever. So here's what we're gonna do...

Would someone ban players from Twitter? The media is eating this shit up. It's all over ESPN. He'll figure out soon enough that the media could care less about how he feels and only about how many eyeballs his emotional rant will draw to them. It's not good for HIM to fret over your last loss. It's good for THEM for him to have a breakdown in a press conference.

when i read this i immediately remembered a comedian i heard many years ago.

he said something like this:
"i'm sick of hearing players from the winning team thanking God for helping them win the game. just once i'd like to hear them blame God. it would go something like this: "um, yeah, we would have won the game, but Jesus made me fumble! he hates our team!"

God was in fact, listening on that cold day in Buffalo. However, he was wearing long flowing black and gold robes. Myron, who was never selfish, called in a special favor for helping all those kids out. Did you ever think of that?

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Psalm 23
A Psalm of David.
1 The LORD is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
3 He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell[a] in the house of the LORD
Forever.
