To understand why Paul Posluszny is optimistic about where the Buffalo Bills are heading, consider where he has been.

Prior to leading a resurgence at Penn State -- and becoming what no less an authority than Jack Ham once called the best linebacker in school history -- Posluszny endured 3-8 and 4-7 seasons in Happy Valley.

"We had the talent, we just had to go out and get that winning feeling. And learn how to win football games," said Posluszny, a Hopewell graduate. "It is the same situation (in Buffalo). We have started off rough, but we feel like we have all the right people in place. We have the ability to win games. We just have to play with a lot of confidence and be able to win those games."

The Bills are trending upward after an 0-8 start that included three consecutive losses by three points. And Posluszny is a big reason why the Bills take a modest two-game winning streak into Sunday's game against the visiting Steelers..........................

There is no question that Posluszny is a good linebacker he is just on a poor team that is not playing well. I hope that he don't have such a good game against us.

The Bills always seem to start fast then end slow, or start slow and end fast, or start slow then speed up and drop off again at the end. It must be hell being a Bills fan.

"This guy is a sideline-to-sideline tackler," Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said. "Very good in coverage."

WTF, no. Brady picks on him all the time.

The BIlls are dangerous, like the Browns. They can easily win games and the Steelers had better not take them lightly.

There is no question about that. Their problem is not playing well enough to beat any team. Their problem is maintaining a high level of play for at least most of the year. Is it the coach, or the organization as a whole? I don't really know.

I like this one too. I knew there was reason the Bengals defense collapsed:

The Bills defense is a work in progress, but they're just not there yet. They still give up a lot of points, so I'm not too worried about them shutting us down.

Their offense on the other hand, has been pretty impressive. You've got to hand it to that Harvard kid. He ain't half bad. But I'm still not going to look at that comeback against the Bengals as being the norm for them. To be fair, the Bengals defense was decimated with injuries. Plus, as I pointed out above, you can't play "D" - "fence" if the guy who holds the "D" doesn't show up.
