Steelers safety Troy Polamalu intercepts pass during Sunday's game against the Raiders at Heinz Field.

This is how bad the Steelers' defense was in the 39-26 home loss Nov. 14 to the New England Patriots: "If our offense had scored a million points, it wouldn't have mattered," safety Ryan Clark said. "We would have lost, one million-and-one to one million."

This is how good the Steelers' defense was in the 35-3 home win Sunday against the Oakland Raiders: The two teams still could be playing and the Raiders wouldn't have a touchdown. "Your pride kicks in at some point," Clark said. "We all have egos. We took it personally all week. It wasn't because of the bad things people were saying about us. It was because we felt like we let the team down [against New England]. We couldn't allow that to happen again."

The Steelers D was like playing a football video game where everything goes right . If it wasn't for the bad calls, it would be perfect .

Our D kicked total ASS yesterday and I'm proud of 'em! :applaudit: See what happens, Papa Lebeau, when you keep it up with the blitzing scheme the entire game?

The offense shined, the defense shined, ST's shined, as did the entire coaching staff. A well called game all the way around and great execution by the players! :drink:

I have been yelling and wishing Lebeau would go to "Blitzburging" all season. Yea. It almost got us a shut-out of one of the top 3 offense's in the league... But you know what they say: the fans don't know anything... LOL...

Yesterdays game is proof that "Goodellball" is NOT what the fans want to see. We played a VERY good defensive game that was only tainted by officialls attempting to enforce Goodell's vision of NFL version 2.0.

It was a VERY exciting game to watch. Any person who cannot enjoy defense played at a level that we saw yesterday is either:
1) a casual fan
2) a fan of the losing team
3) a commisioner of the NFL
