PITTSBURGH

James Harrison (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/player/james-harrison/114761) is curious.

If he could amass $100,000 in fines this season for what the league deemed illegal hits, what type of punishment should Oakland defensive tackle Richard Seymour (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/player/richard-seymour/70163) receive for walloping Pittsburgh’s Ben Roethlisberger (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/player/ben-roethlisberger/200315) squarely in the facemask during a touchdown celebration?

“I hope he would hear from the league a lot worse than what I did,” Harrison said Sunday after Pittsburgh’s 35-3 rout of the Raiders (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/team/oakland-raiders/67050). “I’m playing the game within the whistles. What he did was way outside of it.”

Seymour was ejected for a blow that came after Roethlisberger completed a 22-yard touchdown pass to Emmanuel Sanders (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/player/emmanuel-sanders/766570). While celebrating with his offensive linemen, Roethlisberger accidentally bumped into Seymour’s back. Seymour, 6 feet 6, 310 pounds, responded by pivoting and flooring Roethlisberger with a right hand...................

What a big puss Seee-mo is. I hope he gets fined big time by Goododo but I'm not holding my breath.

If Seymour was still with the Patsies Ben would be the one getting fined for illegal touching of a Patriot, and Harrison would be fined also for being in the same area code.

Oh Seymour, I bet you wish you were still in New England

From Seymours own mouth.

Seymour claimed he reacted that way because Roethlisberger approached him from behind.
"Well, first of all, I thought I let my teammates down," Seymour told the Contra Costa Times of California. "You never want to do anything to hurt the team. That's first and foremost. It was a lot of ongoing, and you're out there to protect yourself. It's still no excuse. I'm not sure exactly what happened on the play. I just turned around, and he just ran up on me quick. It was just natural reaction."

If GODell was fair and honest, and not a low down weasel that only punishes players he doesn't like and teams that he has a vendetta against, it would be a very heavy fine, and 1 game suspension, without pay.

I'm looking for a strongly worded memo, and a free pass to Six Flags to soften the punishment.

It was a really good read. As long as we keep playing out style and don't get all pussified the way we had the couple weeks prior to the Oakland game, I'm good.

Go out and beat their fcking skulls in then deal with the fines later.
