Alright here could be the typical Steelers trap game this Sunday. A pretty awful 2-8 team, but had a come back against the Bungles landing 49 points of offense. I think the Raiders game was proof this is not the Steelers of last season and we won't fall to losing this week. I see another straight big win for the Steelers in Buffalo, 38-10 Steelers.

Y'all gotta remember that they beat the shit out of the bengals, who almost beat us, and they gave the ravens all they could handle!
Fitzpatrick is the real deal, im afraid of what he can do against our 2ndary, even though they held their end of the deal today.

We cannot take the Bills for granted. However, we shouldn't have any problems with them.

They are a lot better then their record, they almost beat some pretty good teams including the Ravens, just had some bad breaks

I think they are better than there record and probably deserve to be 4-6 at this point in the season. They will want to keep proving their worth after today's win so at home they will give the Steelers all they got, and we must play our best ball if we want to win this one.
When the Bills play us it will be their Super Bowl.

I'm going to the game in Buffalo. While their offense has been performing well, their defense is allowing a lot of points as well.

pretty dangerous 2-8 team. they can throw everything they have at us and take gambles a 6-4 or something team wouldnt do. but per usual, we need to start strong and knock down their morale and apply pressure. i'd use the same gameplan they used this week on the raiders.

Whoa. Thought I was the only one from Toronto on here. Yeah I'll be at this one with some buddies. Let's take over this stadium...

Buffalo's not a team to take lightly just because of their record. Fitzpatrick's been playing like the second coming of Jim Kelly, for goodness sakes. Chan Gailey has a great offensive mind and they have a lot of up & comers on offense.
Buffalo does have a horrible defense, though. The only way Buffalo can win is by a shootout. I think Pittsburgh's defense is still better than Buffalo's offense, but I won't be surprised if Buffalo scores 20+ points. Pittsburgh IMO will need at least 30 points to put this one away.

I'll be there. I only go to 1 game a season, and this one's it. My wife's a bills fan, and we live near buffalo, so this was the obvious game to go to.

Buffalo is without a doubt the most dangerous 2-8 team I've ever seen. No seriously. Their record may not show it, but they've been very competitive in their games this year.
Fitzpatrick is quietly having a great season. They just put up 49 on the Bengals this week after being down 31-14 and lest we forget how they shredded the Ravens D in Baltimore?
Take them lightly and we'll be staring at 7-4 with lots of frustration next Sunday.

The Great teams beat the teams they are supposed to beat. The Bills are one of those teams this season we are supposed to beat.
Pressure the young kid QB hard. Plant him early and often into the turf. Shut down their running game.
The Bills are
ranked 9 against the Pass
ranked 32 against the Rush
Steelers are
21st in Passing
11th in Rushing
Bills are
23rd in Passing
14th in Rushing
Steelers are
22nd against the Pass
1st against the Rush
This will be the same game plan as we used against Oakland and pretty much everyone but the Colts and Pats.
Shut down their running game first, force them into 3rd and long all day and rush the crap out of their young QB til his eyes bleed and he begs forgiveness for attempting to play against us.
Also, I think we should be able to get Mendy and Redman and Moore going against this very week Rush Defense, pound the ball, keep the play action alive on the short routes to miller and ward with some backs going out in the passing game, and once in a while, throw it really really really really deep to Wallace.
We should win this game by 20 points.

Current record against the Bills, Steelers 11 wins to 8 losses. In the playoffs, 2-1 in favor of the Steelers.
This is a pretty familiar team for a lot of us older fans. We had to live with these jackholes in the 90s when they gacked 4 SBs in a row. I hate the fcking Bills. I hope we hit Fitzgerald so hard that Jim Kelly wakes up with bruises.
Fred Jackson is their leading Rusher. Spiller is 2nd. We need to crush both of them.
Steve Johnson is their Leading Receiver, he'll be covered by Ike, Lee Evans is 2nd and he'll be the guy McFadden will have to shut down to force the ball inside to the # 3 Guy Roscoe Parish.
They have won 2 in a row, going home with their "swagga" on as much as a 2-8 team can have. But their home is a fcking Dump. I've been to that stadium, its the shiiit hole at the bottom of a piss bucket. Its a horrible place to have to play and I imagine the weather won't be stellar. We need to get in there, whip them up, punish them so bad that their women weep and then get out with the W. No Excuses.

The classic trap game, with the Ravens the week after. Let's hope they don't get too fat on turkey on Thursday and keep their focus, because if they don't, they will lose. The team CANNOT take the Bills lightly just because they are 2-8, or get caught looking ahead to the Ravens. They should win this game easily...but I'm already preparing for the worst.

We can't let off the gas. This team now has the best momentum in the league ... The type of "beat-down" style game we played yesterday against the Raiders, THAT should be Steelers style football ! We all know the 'actual' score should have been 56-0 IF those "make my day" Refs were not in there. Oakland was one of the hottest Offense's in the NFL, until yesterday...

This has all the makings of a classic Steelers loss to a bad team.
1) 2-8 Team that is better than their record shows
2) Game is on the road
3) Steelers coming off a big win
I expect the Steelers to win, but I also expecting the worst next Sunday. History is not on our side. A blowout? I don't think so. We're going to have our hands full with the Bills, it's just our way of doing things with bad teams.

Never thought I'd see this much concern for a game against the Bills. I mean I agree that we shouldn't take them lightly, but people seem legitimately worried lol.
I will be at this one and the Steelers are 0-0 when I attend their games. The undefeated record is going on the line! :chuckle:

And last in run defense eh? Well the Raiders were one of the worst run defenses in the league too and he got worked on really well, albeit we had a makeshift O-line but i mean come onnnn. He damn well better blast his way for no less than 120 on the ground come Sunday!

Trust me, the Bills are a better team than their record indicates. And unlike most teams with a 1-9 or 2-8 record, they ain't backing down from anyone.
I do believe Pittsburgh should, and will, will this game. But I would not be surprised in Buffalo pulls out all the stops and does whatever they can in sixty minutes to eke out a win.
You know, I have to say this. In the Age of Parity, isn't the phrase "trap game" a little overused? Of course some teams are better than others, but I have a hard time believing that many players and coaches look towards next Sunday and think, "Oh yeah, those guys. We'll whip their asses with the second-stringers, so why worry?" I really don't think so. I think fans view it as such, and announcers like to bring it up when a 3-7 team starts kicking butt on a 7-3 team, but in reality it happens all the time. Any Given Sunday. Another trite and overused phrase.....that also rings with truth.

It might be overused, but it fits in this regard. The players and coaches may be pros, but they are still human. They could very well look at the Bills record and say it should be an easy win, come out lacking focus and then get punched in mouth. I think that's what happened to New England against Cleveland, and they ended up getting their asses handed to them. They have to treat the Bills as if they are a playoff-bound team and forget about the record. Plus, recent history suggests that the Steelers will at most have trouble putting them away, because they have a bad habit of playing down to the level of their opponents. That comes from overconfidence, emotionally letting down after a big win and looking ahead to another big game like the Ravens next week. I will not be surprised at all if the Steelers lose this game, and I'm already preparing for it if it happens.

If the D plays like it did on Sunday, we win by 20+. If it plays soft like some of the previous weeks, we could very well lose this game. This game could really be a launching pad for us for the rough 3 games after this one.

There is no excuse for losing to the Bills at this point. I don't care how "good" they are playing now. They don't have the Coaching or the Talent that we have. This game should be over by Half Time with about 125 yards rushing gained in the 2nd half alone as we jam the ball down their pathetic 32nd ranked Defense's throat and eat the clock down.
our D should be able to handle their passing game, we know, and they know they will not be running the ball on us. Its all about getting up there, hitting them in the face early and then stomping on their necks for the rest of the game. Complete focus on Special Teams will be Huge in this game, do not give them any hope/life/chance of getting that stinking dirty Buffalo crowd into the game. By midway through the 4th that place should be emptying out and the Steelers fans should be fully moved down behind our bench and eating up the Television Time.
That is what I expect and that is the only thing I will accept.

They may be 2-8, but they played the Dolphins, Patriots, Ravens, and Bears REALLY tough. They have a legitimate chance of doing the same to us. Fitzpatrick is way better than Campbell or Gradkowski, and Steve Johnson is better than every Raiders receiver combined.
