Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will be among many Steelers who will participate in Hines Ward's third annual Celebrity Softball Game at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Duquesne Field in Green Tree. Attendance is open and free, but spectators can purchase raffle tickets for the chance to win autographed merchandise. All proceeds benefit Ward's helping Hands Foundation. I' d love to go but it's a long drive from where I'm at. Hope they raise a lot of money for the cause.

I just went to the charity softball game in Richmond, VA a couple weeks ago for Farrior's foundation. It was a celebrity team, but mostly made up of Steelers. Glad they're good at football, because they got the pants beat off of them at softball. The Richmond police beat them down 13-4.
Heath hit one out during a HR derby before the game. No easy task in a minor league baseball stadium. 330 down the lines and 400 to center. That's a good poke with a softball.
