Well, the owners are out to make money, and they did replace Reebok with Nike as the league's uniform supplier for 2012, so it's not unthinkable that they would sell out in a contract like this. I hope it doesn't happen.

Ok I'm gonna admit I think about 1/3 of these are decent to awesome. Eagles, Jets, Saints, and Browns look ok. Raiders, Cardinals look good to me. And I love the Panther, Giants, Falcons, and Lions uni's.

I'll flip. We've had the same exact jerseys, helmet, and pants since '68. Other than in '97 when little details were changed like the logo being put on the front left side and the numbers being changed to a more round look. I would hate to see this. I don't like change in the NFL.

From the looks of it, the league is going with Nike but I'm sure a lot of teams, including the Steelers, will elect to stick with the designs that they've had all along.

Nike doesn't even have the NFL license yet. Why would they already be leaking designs for alternate unis? College football ones didn't even leak until like 2 weeks before they debuted." He's right. Nike still has about almost two years before releasing the final product. We can all R-E-L-A-X. Thankfully!

Don't know if this was posted already or not. But since Nike is taking over as the NFL's Uniform maker in 2012 here is the Steelers Jersey prototype. They said they are planning "drastic" (that's a quote) changes to the NFL uniform. What do you think ?

Yeah those flags are for most teams the Steelers will be tackled and helmet to helmet by the opposition will get them extra points.

Not all us have been "suckered." The Steelers 75th Anniversary throwbacks have been quite a hit. A lot of people actually like the yellow helmets with the black stripe. Even the white pants with yellow stripe and black outlines got some rave reviews (along with the black jersey with yellow-only stripes and yellow block numbers). Though, I prefer the black helmet with yellow stripe, I still like the yellow ones too. I do agree with you on the block numbers.

That's pretty durn close to what I did with my customization uni. That ONLY differences are that I added white stripes in between the black ones on each sleeve of the jersey, and a yellow helmet with black stripe- that's it, wow!

Luckily, the team owners have final say over the jersey designs, not the company that makes the uniforms.

However I do expect Nike to pitch certain "Pro Combat" line alternate uniforms when they take over the making of NFL jerseys in 2012.
