A look at a player who gave his team a significant boost in Week 10.

In a game where there were few bright spots for the Pittsburgh Steelers (http://espn.go.com/nfl/team/_/name/pit/pittsburgh-steelers), second-year receiver Mike Wallace (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=12601) put on a show in a losing effort.

Wallace recorded career highs with eight receptions for 136 yards and two touchdowns in a 39-26 loss to the New England Patriots (http://espn.go.com/nfl/team/_/name/ne/new-england-patriots). Pittsburgh captain and veteran receiver Hines Ward (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=1494) was knocked out of the game (http://espn.go.com/blog/afcnorth/post/_/id/20496/hines-ward-suffered-a-concussion) with a concussion in the first quarter, and Wallace stepped up as quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=5536)'s new favorite target. Wallace caught two touchdown passes from Roethlisberger for 33 and 15 yards..............

Was really impressed with his performance Sunday. By the end of the game he was getting triple-coverage. Showed that he's not only a one-trick-pony with some nice intermediate routes.

Looks like he is going be taking over after Ward retires he has already proven he can go across the middle and take a hit.

Garbage statistics. Ben threw over half of his passing yards (approximately) in the last 8 minutes of the 4th quarter, and 3 TD's during that span...Against a 3 man rush. Im really excited though that we're distributing the ball to him all over the field now. If he does what he's done the last two weeks....oh shit! :chuckle:
