Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward and the issue of concussions are in the news again.

Ward said he will play Sunday against the visiting Oakland Raiders despite getting knocked out of a 39-26 loss to the Patriots with a concussion at the end of the first quarter.

Ward, in fact, said he should have been allowed to return to last Sunday night's game, a decision the Steelers took out of his hands after he stumbled while coming off the field.

I do know one thing. If Hines is suffering any headaches between now and Sunday, no one will ever know about it. The guy is too stubborn for his own good.

I wish he could have got his reception but his health is more of a concern and hopefully he will be ready to go this Sunday.

Does anyone think there'll be a fine for that hit?

He hit him square in the earhole. There was no sliding up the shoulder on that, imo.

And according to what Goodygoody said to Harrison... "the defensive player is still responsible if the offensive player ducks".

So yeah... no fine then. :rolleyes:
