During a two-part attack on George Soros, Glenn Beck claimed that Soros (a Holocaust survivor) helped confiscate the property of Jews as well as send them off to death camps. This is completely false. Soros' father bribed an agriculture worker to have Soros pose as his godson. Soros then accompanied him on appraisals of land already confiscated from Jews. The Anti-Defamation League has released a statement condemning those comments as "completely inappropriate, offensive, and over the top." They do however maintain that Beck is still a supporter of the Jewish people and Israel. Liberal bloggers are comparing this piece of propoganda to The Protocols of the Elders of Zion in that Beck refers to Soros as the "Puppet Master" which was a favorite phrase for Jews by the Nazis.

I personally think this falls more under the Glenn Beck being crazy and over the top rather than being an Anti-Semite. However, those accusations are pretty horrible and I wouldn't mind seeing some type of consequence, since I'm pretty sure that's libel.

Bwaaaaaa haaaaaaaa haaaaaaa!

I really like Glenn Beck and agree with most all of his points....but THAT picture is funny as hell!

On a serious note, I am not fan of Soros, but I certainly hope that Beck was not irresponsible here.

Where was the anti-defamation league on countless of vile things leftist elitists said about conservatives. I suppose to these goons it is only defamation when a conservative says something over the top about a liberal

For those of you who are blissfully unaware, Soros is one of the most influential men (if not the most influential) in world politics/economics. Just look at countries where he's left his mark. America is his next target. Thank God someone is exposing him. Go Glenn !

By this logic you may be correct. Soros has influenced many countries in disbanding their communist government after the fall of the Soviet Union. So I guess our communist government is next.

By this logic you may be correct. Soros has influenced many countries by crushing their monetary systems and engaging in destroying peoples lives to better his own life and increase his power over the world.

Fixed that for you.

Glenn Beck? Not surprising. Part of his chosen profession is to get attention and cause controversy. He could either really mean it or it could be calculated. Most likely calculated though... its all about ratings, ratings, ratings...

Calculated like the million dollar bounty soros put on his head to get him off the air?

Is there proof of this, or is it something Beck claimed to have happened?

MICHAEL D. SHEAR @ NYTimes:

Media Matters, the liberal activist group that wages a rhetorical war against Fox News Channel and others in the conservative press, will announce on Wednesday the receipt of a $1 million donation from the philanthropist George Soros.

In a statement obtained by The Caucus, the organization says it plans to use the money to intensify its efforts to hold the Fox host Glenn Beck and others on the cable news channel accountable for their reporting.

“Fox has transformed itself into a 24-7 G.O.P. attack machine, dividing Americans through fear-mongering and falsehoods and undermining the legitimacy of our government for partisan political ends,” the group will say in the statement, to be released Wednesday afternoon.

In an accompanying statement, Mr. Soros, a billionaire who has a history of supporting liberal politicians and causes, accused Fox News hosts of “incendiary rhetoric” and said he hoped that his money would be used “in an effort to more widely publicize the challenge Fox News poses to civil and informed discourse in our democracy.”

For years, conservatives have accused Media Matters of being a front organization for Mr. Soros. In May, Mr. Beck referred to Media Matters as “the left-wing George Soros-funded media machine that is now referring to me as a jihadist.” In 2007, Fox’s Sean Hannity called it “Hillary Clinton’s George Soros-funded group Media Matters.”

All Beck has done is connect the dots.....who funds what, where is the money coming from for all the socialist projects and propaganda we've been inundated with these last 30 years. Apparently Soros would rather we not know what he is doing with his money. He'd rather we not know the names of his organizations

That's certainly sounds like a bounty was put out on his head.

Where's my gun?

Oh that's right, I banned them
