Steelers OLB James Harrison has been added to the team's injury report with back spasms, and is being listed as questionable.

(This was tweeted by the Patriots so I'm not sure what's going on)

James Harrison wasn't on the Steelers injury report at all during the week, and he participated fully in every practice. But on Saturday morning, Harrison developed back spasms, and as a result he has been added to the injury report. He is listed now as questionable for Sunday's game vs. New England.

Back issues could sideline Steelers' Harrison Sunday vs. Patriots

By Scott Brown (sbrown@tribweb.com), PITTSBURGH TRIBUNE-REVIEW

Last updated: 1:11 pm

Add another Steelers starter to the list of players that may not play Sunday night against the visiting Patriots.
Outside linebacker James Harrison, who is leads the Steelers with seven sacks, is experiencing back spasms and is questionable for the 8:20 p.m. game.

Harrison's back issues are a new — and unwelcome — development for the injury-plagued Steelers as the three-time Pro Bowler practiced all week. If Harrison in unable to play against the Patriots, the Steelers will likely move inside linebacker Lawrence Timmons to his spot and start Larry Foote alongside James Farrior..............

To add insult to injury, he was also fined $50,000 by the league for injuring a defenseless back.

Having dealt with a similar issue myself, I can say with 100% confidence that he ought to be on the field tomorrow. More often than not, these out-of-the-blue back or neck spasms are the kind of thing where they inject you once with painkillers and it goes away. It's only when you have a history of a bad back that you worry.

If I'm a betting person, which I am, I say Harrison plays. Tomlin may be playing a "Belidick" and putting him on the report just like that cheat* lists Fairy Tom every Sunday. I guess we won't know for sure until game time.

I think I read that this is a new league police. Goodell himself has be giving James injections to cause back spasms. Goodell is afraid that the fines just aren't enough.

GODELL FOR PRESIDENT: Of any foreign country.

this has been paid for by the what the hell is he doing society.

what i fear is the amount of pressure harrison puts on his back compared to other LBs. IMO, his style of play/pass rushing puts an unusual amount of force on his back.

Moore and Redman are probable surprisingly even after getting a concussion less than a week before. Key players are Kemo and Brett Keisel who are doubtful.

New England has their fair share of injuries too. Myron Pryor and Stephen Neal are the most notable.

Will Allen is out. My guess is that he started experiencing concussion symptoms again.

He's playing normal safety, for one, and for two, neither the Bungles nor Cheats* even bothered to throw to his side of the field. Why should they, when McFadden and Gay are so freaking terrible?
