I think this is a step in the right direction...at least in principal.

Soon-to-be House Speaker John Boehner promised throughout the campaign season to run the House of Representatives differently from the way Democrats have run it for four years and from the way the last Republican regime conducted business.

Now that his party has won enough seats to retake power in the chamber, Boehner began making those changes Wednesday.

First on his agenda was the way the speaker travels to and from home: Boehner said he will fly commercial to his Ohio district as he always has.

Wow, sounds great upfront. I'll be waiting for it to actually happen before I give out any more kudos!

Wow, he actually called out his own party's shenanigans. Guess it's easier to speak freely when your Vice President isn't Darth Sidious.

The scheduled cuts - the result of a failed system set up years ago to control costs - have raised alarms that real damage to Medicare could result if the lame-duck Congress winds up in a partisan standoff and fails to act by Dec. 1. That's when an initial 23 percent reduction would hit.

A USA Today analysis found that the number of federal workers earning $150,000 or more a year has soared tenfold in the past five years and doubled since President Obama took office.

This is great news friends!

The government is cutting doctors pay by 23% in order to help offset the costs of increasing the number of government employees making $150,000 a year, tenfold in the last 5 years.

Brilliant.
