Pittsburgh Steelers (http://nfl.fanhouse.com/team/pittsburgh/steelers) wide receiver Antwaan Randle El (http://nfl.fanhouse.com/player/antwaan/randle%20el/5948) is one of the few quarterback-to-wide receiver conversions that's actually been a success at the NFL level (http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2009/04/24/what-is-pat-whites-future-in-the-nfl/). Since being selected in the second-round of the 2002 draft Randle El has become a productive NFL (http://nfl.fanhouse.com/) receiver, catching at least 40 passes five times in his career.

Because of his experience as a quarterback at Indiana University, he also gives his team a unique dimension when it comes to calling trick plays: he can really throw the football...................

As soon as they ran that first Jets sweep I was like hmm.. they should hand it off to ARE and let him launch it. Then BAMO. I was going nuttss.

I don't care what anyone says about El, I am glad to have him back.... One of the few "Legend of the Field" action figures that I have...

I would be interested to know what ARE`s career QB rating is.

His career passing numbers are 21 out of 26 for 320 yards, 5 tds and 0 ints for a QB rating of 157.5

Hopefully throwing that td pass on Monday will help him get a few more yards on reverses for the rest of the season.

Ward is also a QB to WR convert and has a reasonable amount of success catching passes.

Ward was a receiver in college who also played a little at QB during his sophomore year. Randle El played his college career only as a QB and was converted by the Steelers into a WR. Its not really the same.
