Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall ran for 99 yards against the Bengals in Monday's game at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati.

CINCINNATI -- Rashard Mendenhall scored another touchdown Monday night and is halfway to threatening one record that has lingered a long time in the Steelers' books.

Mendenhall rushed for his seventh touchdown. The Steelers' record is 14, set by Franco Harris in 1976, when they played 14 games, two fewer than they do now.

That would be a good record for him to break. Would be quite impressive...

Mendenhall is really very good despite his o-line not help it sometimes!

Well we still have to play Buffalo, Oakland, Carolina, Patriots, and the Bengals again. All of which have some shitty run defenses. We really underachieved against the Bengals on the ground, but we had Kemo, Starks, Adams, and Pouncey all injured during large portions of the game, so I'm sure Mendenhall will gash the hell outta them next time. He engineered some great runs on his own which was nice to see!

This. I was very impressed by how he made something out of nothing a number of times last night.

Throwing to him out of the backfield was also very effective. What were his combined yards?

Wow the Steelers record for RB TD's in a season is only 14...does that seem low to anyone else but me? haha But heres hoping to him doing it!

That is what I liked seeing. Mendy can catch too and they need to take advantage of that. But, he needs to have Redman help carry the load.

I think he has a 50-50 chance of doing it. Hard to do.
