The following was sent to me by Chris Mahr of Sports Illustrated:

The Steelers' Lawrence Timmons is one of three linebackers on Peter King's (@si_peterking (http://twitter.com/#!/si_peterking)) mid-season All-Pro team while center Maurkice Pouncey is King's selection for Offensive Rookie of the Year. King used the following rationale for his selections of Timmons and Pouncey:

Timmons: "A tough call over Ray Lewis at inside/middle ‘backer, but Pittsburgh's fourth-year vet gets the nod-helped by his 15-tackle games in Weeks 2 and 4."
Pouncey: "The first-rounder out of Florida has solidified a shaky Pittsburgh line from Day One."........................

WOW talk about some surprising names to see on there. I expected something more along the lines of James Harrison, Troy, and/or Polamalu.

I would add Aaron Smith and Casey Hampton to that list. Just look at how well we've done against the rush this year. Those guys have a lot to do with that.

Well, it IS Peter King. He's consistent as always with his habitual deep throating of Manning and Brady as well.

Ok, Bess is good I'll give him that, but seriously, since we're talking the entire league, he wouldn't sniff by any top 3 wideout rankings.
