With rookie Brian Price being put on injured reserve the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a void at the defensive tackle position. They filled it today with the signing of defensive tackle Al Woods from the Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad according to Wolf Heard of Pewterreport.com.

The Bucs also signed him to THEIR PS...so after signing that LB to the PS...we brought back Sunny Harris.

HOLY CRAP!!! I thought you were kidding!!!!

A day after they lost highly-regarded rookie defensive tackle Brian Price to a season-ending injury, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed rookie defensive tackle Al Woods off the Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad.

The Bucs also signed defensive tackle Doug Worthington, a seventh-round pick of the Steelers in the 2010 draft.

I'm not sure, but he probably has as many NFL starts. :noidea: :chuckle:

We seem to always have that "go to" linemen when we get in trouble with depth.

I was joking but I know Capizzi is in the UFL again this year. Steelers rarely sign anyone not familiar with their system.

Keep banging that drum. Maybe we can make him an O lineman like some scouts thought he could be.

Never give up!

The bears tried to use him as a DT...I would love to see what he could do as a 3-4 DE. That being said...I have NO problem with bringing back Sunny Harris. I thought he showed more promise then worthington did.
