I usually buy SI when a Steeler is on the cover but will probably have to pass on this issue.

Actually, Peter King has been pretty supportive of us and Harrison.

Funny how they just keep focusing on Harrison instead of Meriweather.

I suppose that is true. He was the one that picked us to win the Super Bowl, isn't he?

I wish he would have made the cover some other way instead of his fine hitting tackle.

It looks like an emphatically rejected marriage proposal.

It's a masterpiece. I dare someone to disturb the artist in action.

So SI is using the same picture of an "illegal and devasting hit" that the NFL tried to sell to sell their magazine. Nice.

And then what? Harrison will keep "pulling up" on tackles??? Sheesh. His hands are literally tied thanks to Goodell! :mad2:

E-X-A-C-T-L-Y!! Goodell's and the NFL's hypocrisy knows no limit. Mark Schlereth was right on target!

All you hear about on the Top 100 Players is how hard they hit and how tough the players were. So NFL Films/NFL is saying a rough game is the best?

It's the CYA league. Goodell doesn't want future ex-NFLers coming back to sue the league over negligence in not implementing stricter rules against head hits. Hard hits good, head hits bad.

Harrison just happens to be one of the best hitting linebackers out there, and unfortunately, some guys duck and they end up getting creamed.

The NFL has no control over this though, no?

Not as long as they continue to sit on their hands and let the power-obsessed Goddell have his way. Bunch of cowards, I say!

And what good would that do if he can't do anything with it?? Goodell has him hand-cuffed.

I don't think he cares. He's already said he's not going to change the way he plays the game. Whether he does or not remains to be seen but I can tell you that is the NFL goes overboard suspending new players, the fans/players will take up rugby.
