Good to see this kid is improving and after fumbling the first kickoff, came back and had an excellent game.

Whoa. This caught me off guard. Figured it would've been Carpenter with the 5 FGs if anything. Good for Sanders though, glad to see the rookie stepping up!

I too am glad that he had a chance to make up for the fumble as I hate to see young players have their confidence shaken. Really like Sanders and Brown on ST this year and think both will be great for the Steelers in the future.

Congrats

I was very very upset when he made a fumble on his first play of the game but it was great after his fumble!

Wow...what a unique probem to have...trying to decide between Brown and Sanders on a weekly basis.

Hate to say it....but maybe its time to give both of them a helmet and sit ARE.

Actually they should sit Battle...I'd rather have El as a WR option than Battle.

I'm with you on that. Battle hasn't really done squat!

Off topic, but...... it's a shame that a Center will never be considered for "Rookie of the Week".

Now that you mentioned it...

I was looking at it as more of an "overall" value....Battle has more value than ARE on ST's...and Brown/Sanders have more upside than ARE at WR and ST's.

He's been very good on special teams.

He was excellent after that fumble on the opening kickoff. I believe he returned 3 kicks out past the 40 yard line and came very close to running that one back to the house. He earned this for sure.

Good for Sanders to rebound

Yep. I'd rather sit ARE who catches 1 pass a game and has a 3 yard avg on punt returns. Battle can also produce in the passing game. He played well in the preseason.

The kid is growing into a man. Something to build off of. I'm happy for him. He has a job to do on a world class team. Keep up the good work guy.

Mmhmm! And remember guys, Battle is a better receiver than people give him credit for, down in San Fran he played for I believe it was 7 different offensive coordinators? Not much time to get comfortable there!

That is pitiful. I didn't realize it was that low. I thought he had at least a 5.0 PR avg but man that is horrible.

I think ARE is at the point in his career where it's time to sit back and help the young guys develop, IMO.

I have to agree, give the extra spot to Brown.

I think it's well know that I've been a Sanders fan from the begining. If we have a replacement for Ward I think he is it. Hope he's nearly as good. How ever I would like to see Brown get as much playing time as possible, how ever the coach does it.

I think these two are going to be together for a long time. No, I am not forgetting about Wallace either.

I tend to agree - we'll always have this, though:

I will never forget that play and the Parker run what a memorable Superbowl.
