Good, James Harrison. Please do retire. Make good on your threats and go drive a truck like your father did. And if you have as many head-ons in that job as you do in this one, heaven help you. .........

This guy is an idiot. I usually am not one of those people who emails writers to give them the "what for," when I disagree with what they wrote. But, in this case, I couldn't help it with this ...... He takes a shot at Harrison for where his family comes from in life (dads just a truck driver). In addition, he doesn't even mention that the NFL has said from the beginning that the hit on Cribbs was legal. No, just vilify Harrison and call him stupid. Real professional.

So I sent him an email telling him to stick to golf. I know it won't do any good, but I feel better.

So if you are so inclined, tell Ricky what you think about his writing here.

What a douchenozzle.

Even the picture used for the article shows how low Passivesquaw had dipped before Harrison made contact. He went from upright to at least a sitting position before impact.

this is what I sent him:

You obviously have very little to zero understanding about football and the motion of players involved in a collision. While the media hypes like yourself are out there bashing defensive players for hits on so-called defenseless offensive players, you give no contribution of the brutality of the play to two things 1) the offensive players positioning (i.e. moving from one position to another - like the fetal position) and 2) the continuation of movement once contact his made. You and Der Kommish should go live on a deserted island somewhere.

I wrote him a nasty note. I just couldn't help myself. I'm tired of these pencil necks like him trying to ruin the game of football.

All in all, seven players left games Sunday with brain injuries. It was the kind of Sunday that makes you wonder what kind of person you are for sitting there watching. Watching men turn other men's cerebellums into oatmeal is starting to bring up the bile. We now know what these collisions can mean later in life. We know because the NFL is telling us. We know because we heard about what the battered brains of Hall of Famer Mike Webster and Terry Long looked like. Oh, yeah, they were Steelers, too, weren't they?Fine, turn it into a flag football league already. Or better yet, just dissolve the damn league altogether. I'm sick of the hypocrisy displayed by the league office over this issue, and I'm even more sick of blubbering manginas like Reilly whining about it. :coffee:

Wow. This doesn't even seem to have anything to do with the hits. He's crossing a major line here. If he thinks that was illegal, that's fine. But wow, he took it too far especially with the subtle "You'll die in a head on crash" jab.

Rick Reilly hasn't written a non-douchebag or even decent article in years.

Ryan Clark apparently read the article via twitter:

Would love to meet Rick Reily. Would be an honor to see a man who's perfect, a saint, a genius or Christ. At least he must believe he is
