I'd pay for a copy of the picture of the hit, so long as the money went to Harrison.

Where is the Facebook Group where you donate a $1 to help pay for the rope to hang Goodell?

I see thousands have actually went ahead and typed a message with money to Goodell, but honestly how can I be sure, it gets to him and is used properly?

There too much media for it not to be used for Harrison.

How many of you people that are sending in $1 have a $20,000,000 contract?

Give it up, Hulka. The hit wasn't illegal and the fine is bullshit. You won't find sympathy here.

You fail to see the point, it's not about the $$$ it's about the Support and the principle of the fine to the piece of crap who implemented it. A good way for us fans to show how we feel.

I'm tempted to send in 100 checks for $0.01 each.

I'm not talking about the hit OR the fine. Just mentioning the fact that you're trying to get a bunch of people who don't make $75,000 a YEAR to pay a fine for a multi-millionaire.

A better way would be to hit Goodell in the pocketbook. Try not going to the games, or stop buying NFL endorsed products.

Ok, that is absolutely awesome. One thing is the idea, but the fact that people are buying into it and sending in the dollar is awesome. I would send a couple of Danish Kroner, but I think I better wait until I'm going to NYC next month...then I can drop it off in person :)

See Butch's post above.

Plus, if you really believe that the fine is justified, why don't you start a FB group to pay for Massoquoi's hospital bill or better yet for his followup medical bills after he leaves the game. The NFL won't give a crap then.

And yeah, I won't put one penny toward any official NFL merchandise.

LOL, I'm with Hulka. The fine is bullshit, but after paying $75k Harrison still has $19,925,000, and I don't.

It's not for James. The dollar is for the PITA it will be for the league office to process.

That's why it is better to send a check, or pennies.

This is the route I'm taking. I need my money more than Silverback does. Hulka's right, folks - a much more effective way to get your point across is to stop shelling out for the $200 jerseys.

Not going to games hits Rooney's pocket. Goodell is on salary. But I bet with the Steelers waiting list it won't be long til they all start sweating. Ha

Not going to games hits Rooney's pocket.

That's the only unfortunate part. However, maybe they won't rubber stamp his extension next time around if they get hit hard enough.

The owners have the contract problem and now this with the hard hits. I would be interviewing new commissioner's now for 2012.

Yeah he'll just pocket it and say he never got it.

Correction: "devastating hits" - whatever the hell that means. But I'm sure Goodell will determine the definition as he goes along (more like based on how loud the media squawks about it) - like he does with everything else.

This is really stupid. $75,000 can be spent so much better. The money goes to NFL backed charities anyways...

On "Inside the NFL" last night, their reporter said that "Steeler Nation all got together and has raised $70.00 for James Harrison's fine". They all laughed and said it will take years to pay it off.

Seems low to me.

Actually, I believe it goes in a fund to help retired players.

Based on what I've seen, it is definately a lie. You can find at least 300-400 pictures of peoples letters to the commish. And those are just the ones that bothered to take a picture of it an upload it.
It might not amount to much, but it is certainly much higher than $70.
