I don't agree that Russ and Najee are goats.

MY B, I put them in the wrong area. They actually did well tonight.

Goats: early whistles by refs on Najee runs.

Heroes : pretty much team.
Wilson, Beanie, oline ( they were not great in the first half but they battled), The gum assassin, Tomlin (for making the call), Pickens

Game Balls - Pickens, Russ, Beanie, O-Line, Danny Smih, Najee, Warren.

GOATS - Officiating needs to call the Same for both sides, no matter what it is, TJ Watt…where’d he go? He’s playing Pro Bowl level…that’s low for him. Fire him up!!!

Game balls to Russ, Beanie special teams and Pickens (amazing what happens when you throw him the ball)

Only goats are the refs, 2 plays they blow the whistle too soon to negate 1st down runs, BS call on the blocked FG, call Ogunjobi for slamming down the RB but don’t call the 2 time the Jets did it.

Maybe the tackling on some of those runs could use some work, but Inwill let it pass for this game.

All that being said, I think we got the Jets at the right time. One more week and I think that offense is going to start putting up a lot of points. So much talent.

But it's also about being around the ball and having the ball skills and awareness. Dong or not, it was a game changer.

Agreed. This guy just does at least two things each game that make you sit up and take notice.

Highsmith should get a hero mention and a game ball.

I actually really like Herbie and Moon BUT the entire defense looks different with Highsmith out there. He also plays the run at a whole other level than those two. It made a big difference last night.

Highsmith has a more flashy “Aaron Smith Effect” on the defense.

Aside from two Breece Hall plays, that whole Jets offense was kept in check. For the first portion, it looked like the Jets offense was going to cut through butter all night but then they just stopped…not that the Steelers made adjustments or coached up…Jets just “crumbled”.

And one of those plays was kind of "just one of those things". One of the LBs flew in to try and make a tackle and ended up knocking over several other teammates and opening the run after the catch lane for Hall.

Last night was an example of "bad Aaron Rodgers". He can get locked in to doing a small number of things and loses the bigger picture and the offense will break down. Why I always felt that the best version of him in Green Bay was when he had a strong coach to balance him out. He has a weak coach now and is basically the only voice being listened to. And he failed to do some basic things. I would have thrown at Pierre every single play. Instead, Rodgers threw at better DBs because he likes those WRs more. I also would've targeted Hall more in the old Randall Cobb role - I think there was a lot of positive gains to be made there. But Rodgers got locked in on other stuff and lost the plot.

Watt was double and tripled teamed most of the night SNF even spotlighted it. The thing you should be ticked about is, if TJ is being double/tripled team then were are others picking that up? Highsmith should have been much better if TJ is drawing all that attention.

Exactly, plus the 2nd INT he waved his hand in there and almost tipped it. Did getting his hand in the path distract the receiver into DONGing it? It very well could have.

Was anyone else surprised that the Jets came into the game with a banged up secondary facing Pickens and the also rans...and put Sauce on the also rans instead of Pickens? It just seemed odd to me that they had Gardner on Van Jefferson and some guy no one has ever heard of covering Pickens on several big plays....not saying that Gardner would've stopped things....but still....

The Jets ran away from Watt. Maybe he should have swapped sides to offset it?

In addition, I have not seen that many batted down balls since LC Greenwood in SB IX.

The one thing in all the glee about the big win that I am still noticing is that our offense requires tight windows and circus catches for completions. We still aren't getting guys open outside of the Jefferson TD which I think was a broken Jets coverage.

Yes the catches all worked out for us this week, but I would feel a lot better if our offense could scheme guys a little more open.

I could be wrong but I don’t think Sauce is a shadow coverage guy. Maybe sometimes but for the most part, I think he is just playing normal coverages. Even while he was on Pickens, Pickens got the best of him and it would’ve been worse had they called the PI plays when Sauce was mugging Pickens.

They need to get more balls to the big TE #80. In addition, what happens when others double team Pickens like Watt got shut down as the deliberately ran away from him all night? They got Muth and can fall back to dumping to a RB out of the backfield, but if they fall behind early it's hard to make those quick yards dinking and dunking.

Seriously, was Bishop supposed to think he didn't "earn" that INT, so he should drop the ball or something? Stupid.

Just watched the game on flight. I was out of the country. Pleasantly surprised.

Heroes: 2nd half Russ. Special Teams. Beanie Babie. Najee. Pickens. The Secondary. Just too many to name.

I guess I’ll change my avatar back to Russ.

And those tackles are always full speed violence.

There was one where a Jets receiver was kinda boxed in by multiple defenders and everyone was doing the “how about we all agree I’m down and spare ourselves the collision” and Wilson flew in from behind the play and knocked the dude into Tuesday.
