I hope this isn't another game with 100-degree temps and 90% humidity.

If it is we will likely be wearing black again. Do you realize we have yet to wear our whites?

I noticed that too. It seems more teams are wearing their whites even at home. I'm pretty sure the Dolphins prefer their whites on a regular basis at home.

Global warming is a bitch. I think we can be surprisingly dominant in this upcoming game. The 'Fins have won only against questionable teams, and even been blown out once (ok sure, a lot of that has to do with special teams, but still!). Very vulnerable on both sides of the ball. My early bird prediction is 24-14 Steelers

No way, beautiful weather today. Wake up to 63 degrees and warms up to 80 and sunny skies, paradise.

Should be an interesting game, I think Henne and the offense is much improved, but with a dominating defense and Ben leading the offense I think we pull out the win before a tough stretch comes our way.

Fish on a dish next Sunday in Miami. :tt02:

The Dolphs' D is decent overall so our OL is going to have to play as well as they did yesterday in protecting Ben and opening up those holes for Mendy/Redman. It wouldn't surprise me if Henne comes out firing the long ball to test our secondary - that is - if Harrison doesn't give him a turf sandwich. :heh: Brandon Marshall is an extremely gifted wideout and have some blazing speed and their TE Fasano has good speed and hands.

I'd really like to see the pass rush utilized more than in just the first quarter. Show Henne from the first snap of the ball and throughout the game that the Steelers D ain't playing touch football - they mean business!

I think that this will be a pretty stiff contest for us. HTG summed it up pretty well and I expect to see a relatively low scoring game.

I think if our defense can make Henne start hearing footsteps, and continue to pressure him (as HTG said), he'll make some unforced errors and from what I saw yesterday our offense should be able to capitalize.

That sucks about odrick. Im sure he'll be a player, but having your rookie season cut short like that, just when you're about to be healthy again?

it blows

but well, more space for mendy to run

I don't see Miami doing much. They have difficulty mustering 20 points even against some crap teams. When I've seen them play this season and last, their offense goes nowhere without the wildcat, and our defense will be having none of that shit. We ought to pin them down like usual, and it's just a matter of how many points our offense can grind out. I predict 21-3. Maybe 21-10 if we go into our usual garbage-time prevent.

Also, the league will probably be looking to suspend Harrison, so it sucks we'll be missing him against the Saints.

It bothers me a little how little this game is being talked about nationally. Its a huge game, two AFC potential playoff teams facing off. The tie breaker involved in this game is huge simply because there aren't going to be enough slots for the playoffs for all the teams in the AFC that are doing great.

We are talking Jets, Patriots, Dolphins, Steelers, Ravens, Colts, Chiefs, Titans, Texans, that's without the Chargers or Bengals or other "potential" Teams.

This game against the Dolphins is Huge for the Steelers, it gives us a huge lift in the tiebreaker situation toward the end of the year!

And...for the record...I HATE THE FCKING DOLPHINS! I'm gonna go buy some non-dolphin free Tuna and feed it to the neighborhood cats just to spite the Dolphins! Stupid freaking Franchise that had one of the Greatest QBs in the history of the game for what? 16 years and only made the SB one time! EF YOU DOLPHINS! EF YOU WHALES!

The Dolphins D is 16th against the run and 12th against the pass. I don't think that we'll have a problem moving the ball against them. The only player that I'm concerned with is Wake. The OL has to keep him off of Ben. On D, we've got to keep bringing the pressure and make Henne make mistakes. Marshall will get his numbers, we've just got to make sure not to give him the big plays.
