Fans expect to see Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward in the pages of Sports Illustrated or ESPN The Magazine.

But the November issue of Architectural Digest includes a different side of Hines Ward; namely, his palatial home near Atlanta. The home is featured in a six-page spread in the magazines People and Places issue, which also includes a look at homes owned by Rob Lowe, Las Vegas mogul Steven Wynn and filmmaker Oliver Stone.

The 15,000-square-foot neoclassical mansion includes a living room with a double fireplace. It features a media room, billiard room, poker room and the trophy room, where Ward displays his collection of jerseys worn by Hall of Fame players and "old-timers" who mentored him............

It's pretty funny to see Ward with a washing machine in his closet. It's hard to imagine that he does his own laundry. Does he wash and wax that car he won as MVP of SB XL too?

WOW - nice digs! Hines is total class and I would expect his home to be classy as well.

Me too. The man's got tons of character, and toughness to boot!

Ward was treated well by Pittsburgh, and he treats Pittsburgh well back. What more could you say about that? The tradition continues.

holy smokes.. I wonder what his home in Pittsburgh looks like? Ahh.. to have that kind of money.

It couldn't happen to a better person though.

The really cool part is seeing how important Steelers Heritage is to Hines with all the jerseys from our earlier dynasty. His number belongs up there with all our other heros.

And this was the ride he got out of to head into the stadium the other week:
